If his name is Daken Akihiro, is it Day-Ken (as I've been pronouncing it) or Dah-Ken? I parse the latter as a Japanese pronunciation, the former as English. So which is it?
It'a Dah-ken. I was calling him Day-ken till I heard the Marvel editors speak at FanExpo 2010, and they all called him Dah-ken. Who'd have guessed? It took a little getting used to, but yes, it does sound more Japanese that way. Means "Mongrel".

I'd say I was surprised he used that name for himself, except it makes perfect sense. He seems to positively revel in his mixed-blood status, or at least flaunt it at every opportunity.
