Lost is good - definitely worth watching - is has a non-linear storyline and great continuity. But even now, with all that this season has given away for free in terms of quality for no reason imaginable (and ratings with it), I like SPN better.

I just wish that the writers of SPN would have as much respect for old clues and continuity as the writers of Lost do.

Also, I've watched quite a bit of Castle now and I just don't get it.

Lost is much better.

I really liked Lost during first and even second season. Third season bored and annoyed me and (though I don't want to be closed-minded about it) don't feel much inclination to return, though maaseru tells me it's well written.

I love Castle, for many reasons. But it still doesn't quite give me that fannish thrill I'm looking for. Supernatural does - in fits and starts.

I lost interest in the middle of the 2nd season. It's still my least favorite. But the 4th and 5th seasons were really good.

I loved Dean's pornlite dream sequence, and Anna's contempt of it. As if she didn't seduce him in the back of the Impala. Not too much high moral ground there, Anna, baby.

Well that was human Anna, not angel Anna - angel Anna is much more removed from human affairs and feelings. The characters have consistently been different.

Loved the ending, with the angel figure at Dean's crib. Chilling. Or not. Even if it's not chilling, it's sort of chilling, if that makes sense.

I thought it came across as sinister. I loved it.

Yes, Angel Anna is not Human Anna in nature, but she has her memories and there is a continuity of personality. I still find the nuances amusing.

I thought it came across as sinister.

Oh, it certainly did!

I've now watched the first 3 episodes ofBeing Human series 2. Gripping, dark, and funny. I'm worried about Nina, George and Mitch especially!

What else should you be watching? White Collar, of course! *g*

I'm not going to be much help. My current tape-and-watches every week are Chuck, House, Castle, Bones, and Numb3rs. None of which I watch for the storylines or the setting, but all because I like the people who inhabit them.

Liking people is a good reason to watch something. Frankly, I watch Supernatural because I like the Winchesters. But I like the Winchesters because they have been so well written; it's a reflective thing.

An excellent point. I guess you could say that the reason I watch particular TV shows is for a combination of the acting and the writing. But I like saying that I watch for the people better [g].

It's the writing about the people and the acting that depicts them. And the "good story" part is how those people interact.
