...Flowers and rodents? Really?I keep trying to find a logical explanation for my behavior last week, and can find none. I was rather kind, but my behavior was incredibly irrational and oblivious. It put me in danger.

I appreciate your kindness, Martel, but I don't believe the kind of freedom you would offer me is the freedom I am seeking.

Be grateful it wasn't anything else.

The way the villagers spoke of these experiments suggested that they were supposed to be dangerous, rather than a nuisance.

Even if it seemed absurd, there were very real consequences of such behavior.
