6 Weeks

I can't believe that it has been 6 weeks since I posted anything here. I kept meaning to at least make a post that said hi! but somehow the time has slipped away and here I am 6 weeks later older, greyer, lighter, depressed and alone. lol Older because even I can't halt to march of time, greyer because my hair refuses to stop growing and so the ( Read more... )

((((HUGS YOU TIGHT)))
I know what you are feeling.
When Daniel first left for college he was 200 miles away and I missed him terribly.
Even though I still had Erik home with me, Daniel is the one who is loud and very talkative whereas my younger son and I coexist very quietly together. It will get better, I promise, but the first time is so very hard.
Hang in their mom!

Thanks, it is taking time but I do feel better about her being so far away. She sends me long emails and texts me for instructions on how to do things so it's not too bad.

Sounds like the empty nest syndrome strikes hard. I've been thinking alot about this lately as time is just flying by!

Good luck with your class and I am sure the horses are the best medicine for homesickness. That goes for you too. I think you need to sneak a few rides in. :D

The class is going well, I just need to pass the exams. I'd love to get back into riding but unfortunatley non of the stables around here will take me as I am too heavy for their horses, plus these days I'm not sure my knees could take it!

It's good to hear from you... I've let my own LJ lie fallow forever too, because my life is so complicated right now. sometimes it's easier and happier for me to just write for the Hugo Weaving fan forums. ;) But it is challenging and depressing at times being away from the ones you love, even if they're moving to a new, defining phase of their lives. I'm alone all this week too... I sort of have the opposite situation because I've gotten so used to taking care of Mum lately. She's off on a foliage tour with her brother and sister in law. John was here last week but is home for now, trying to keep everything together there. Even when people are good about keeping in touch, it can be frustrating to know they're off doing something productive or exciting and don't require your presence for it. ;) Anyhow I hope you and the cat aren't driving each other crazy, and that you can find some pleasant distractions. Like how slender you're getting. ;)

lol well slender is along way off and I doubt that I will get that far but I have a nice class leader (weight watchers) and so am feeling quite motivated at the moment.

The cat is driving me crazy I don't know about if I am doing the same to her, she would probably say yes...

I hope things are getting better for you too. It's great that you keep us up to date with Hugo, I have no time to do anything like that these days so I really appreciate it.

I've always found that the more I get on with enjoying life and the company I keep, and the less I obsess about calories and weight, the less weight I actually gain. So if you have a support system you enjoy, you'll probably continue to do fine ( ... )

Il est douloureux d'être éloigné de ceux qu'on aime.
Tu vis des moments difficiles mais tout devrait bien se passer... Il faut un peu de temps...

It is painful to be away from loved ones.
You live difficult times but everything should take its place... A little of time is needed...

Thank you so much for the picture, it is very cute.

Everything will eventually be fine in time I know but that initial leaving is very hard to do.

Merci tellement de l'image, il est très mignon. Tout sera par la suite bon que je connais mais il est très difficile de faire ce partir initial
