I think that's the idea, todays liberated young woman wouldn't put up with such things. I'm too old to change now but that's not to say that my hubby takes me for granted becuase he knows better than to evn try it.
I think my result shows very much my upbringing. As a child of the 50's I remember the days when married wome gave up work the day before they married. Most companies only employed single women. My career's advice before I left school at 16 was to get a little job until the right man came along then get married and have children. Hard to believe that was only 30 years ago.
She must have a male harem or something. ;) I think all committed relationships involve some tradeoffs and concessions...I try to be polite and listen when the boyfriend gabs on for hours about his video editing, for example, but he's equally patient with me. But there are very few guys worth that sort of sacrifice...if you're single, the lower your score is, the better.
No harem, just an attitude of this is me, I'll compromise to a point but no further. I've seen too many friends (of both genders) change themselves for the sake of their relationships only to have it all come crashing down anyway. I was lucky enough to go to an all girls school where you were considered a 'failure' if all you wanted to do was to become a part time secretary and mother - we were pushed towards academic life (an old girl ran the Science Museum in London) or a 'real' career, so you didn't have to feel guilty if you weren't married by 20. Weirdly though, most of my contemporaries did exactly that, and are now 40 year old housewives who belong to the WI!
