Fic and ramblings

Aug 30, 2009 18:05

So I have spent a v busy day crying my way through reality television (and will actually end the day with Australian Idol but lets face it that is totally anticlimactic) and while I have watched many performances - good, bad, indifferent, headbreaking, moving etc. I can narrow my day down to two great things ( Read more... )

girls aloud, fanfic, rpf, cheryl/nadine

2. Cheryl saying the word “emotional”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - I KNOW!!!! I totally thought of you at that moment! (Then I got a text from my mum saying 'She's greetin again!')

I have also read (thanks to the_girl_20 being rather cruel to me) Dreams That Glitter. - It's called 'tough love'. I bet you are glad you've read it now aren't you? I might even think about giving you that imaginary Nobel Prize back.

Kimberly is really growing on me - This sentence doesn't really make sense to me.

Am I to understand that the overall Girls Aloud Rankings have changed in light of Nicola's inability to discuss medical conditions appropriately?

I'm going to have to come back to comment on the fic shortly as I am dyeing my hair and it needs to be rinsed before it starts fizzling and falling out in clumps.

I'll be back.

I totally thought of you at that moment! I was just so ridiculously excited. I was bouncing around on my couch!

Am so very excite by my new Scottish word!

It's called 'tough love'. I bet you are glad you've read it now aren't you? I am indeed thankful for my tough love and my new found knowledge of the Girls Aloud world.

I might even think about giving you that imaginary Nobel Prize back. Crosses fingers.

Am I to understand that the overall Girls Aloud Rankings have changed in light of Nicola's inability to discuss medical conditions appropriately? Indeed they have. She is definitely no longer third. And for fucks sake how hard would it have been for her to hold onto her place. She could have spent the whole book going "I was 16 and stupid" and I would have forgiven her most things.

I am dyeing my hair and it needs to be rinsed before it starts fizzling and falling out in clumps. Now see I have never dyed my own hair. I find that something that one should pay the hairdresser for but then my hair my not be quite as forgiving as ( ... )

Am so very excite by my new Scottish word! - I hope it comes in useful in your everyday life.

Indeed they have. She is definitely no longer third. - OMG! Is Kimberley now third in your affections??!?!? I would be thrilled by this. (I am assuming that she is as I can't imagine Sarah leap-frogging both Nicola and Kimberley.)

Now see I have never dyed my own hair. I find that something that one should pay the hairdresser for - I dye my own hair frequently. This is more to do with having a multitude of grey hairs than anything else. My hair is quite rubbish at getting dyed. It's really thick and really dark so it doesn't actually take to dyes very well. (I have paid professionals to do it and it still always ends up approximately the same colour as when it started.)

I hope it comes in useful in your everyday life. I plan to use it as often as humanly possible even if it will create nothing but confusion!

OMG! Is Kimberley now third in your affections??!?!? Indeed she is!!!!!! Now you need to be excited about this but also to accept that she will never go any higher cause Cheryl and Nadine can not be passed :). Her move to third is very impressive though!

I am sitting here loving my v v v v v v v v low maintenance hair and the fact that if I have any gray it's not noticeable!!!

I do adore my gif fic response but have to say that I kinda miss there being words. Please don't take that to mean that I want the pretty pictures to go away!

Sorry, I have been in a gif mood since that person posted that really easy to use gif maker on sexyyesyesyes. Previously gifs were a pain in the arse to make.

Words. Right. I loved the references to The GA Party and how they looked like absolute twats. I especially loved this proclamation from Nadine for some reason: Oh Jesus I can’t be watching that. :)

(I should point out that the 'grannies' sketch was my favourite.)

The discussion of the things they don't discuss was kinda heartbreaking, as were Cheryl's thoughts on the matter.

In many ways they are just a drunken snog that never ended. - I find that both an amusing and a sad description of the situation.

It’s not the fairytale life that she may have dreamt of but it's her life and it’s completely simple and ridiculously complex. - :( (I realise that emoticons are not all that different from gifs, but I can't help it!)

saw the gif maker post on sexyyesyesyes but didn't go and look at it but if you are telling me it's easy then I probably should.

I loved the references to The GA Party and how they looked like absolute twats. The did bless them but I still love them.

I especially loved this proclamation from Nadine for some reason: Oh Jesus I can’t be watching that. I love that line too!

I should point out that the 'grannies' sketch was my favourite. Mine too! I thought they were both so cute and I wanted to point out the all the Chimmers out there that Cheryl was only with Kim cause she ended up stuck there - I so loved "I should have left with the other three ( ... )

Oh, God, so bittersweet but lovely all the same.

Loved these bits:

Somehow when they are alone and all the vestiges of the outside world are removed they feel completely connected. Earlier when Nadine emerged from the bathroom, wrapped in a towel and backlit, Cheryl thought it was without a doubt the most beautiful thing she’d ever seen. Just gorgeous imagery.

“I don’t know what you’re complaining about. They didn’t truss you up as a granny.” LOL. Oh, Cheryl.

In many ways they are just a drunken snog that never ended What a fantastic description!

Also:

“Getting there,” she responds and arranges herself in Nadine’s arms. “I like it here.” I don't know how you manage to combine humour and angst and loveliness into one fic like this but I hope you continue to do so.

Btw, I have your other Cheryl/Nadine stuff bookmarked and will reading and commenting shortly.

I'm glad that you liked it.

LOL. Oh, Cheryl. Cheryl makes me laugh often - especially when walking up hills in Greece.

I'm glad you are going to read my other Cheryl/Nadine stuff - they don't really have a home other than here so it's nice for them to be read :)

some call it geeky; I call it well-informed... and geeky I think of both of those things as pros!

the other side of the coin - the delicious angstiness that is the reality of their situation (I can be somewhat of an angst junkie) - only serves to highlight the sense of futility I'm glad that comes across. Given that I am clearly not a stranger to the angst I should be able to help feed the angst junkie in you ;)

I couldn't help but 'aww' a little at the image of a Cheryl/Nadine family unit It really would be a lovely family unit.

"it’s completely simple and ridiculously complex" - them, in the hotel room together in each others' arms is simple, but anything past that is a mass of confusion. I like the contrast between the simplicity and complex nature of their situation (cause of cause in my head it is all real)

I am writing my own CherylDine at the moment, so possible bartering could occur... quite possibly. I have started a new Cheryl/Nadine fic which I had hoped to finish tonight but right now I am shattered and need to go to
