The 69 Eyes are one of my guilty pleasures. I'm a fan of their later stuff, the more gothic part of the catalogue as I never really heard anything special in their hair metal days. Of course now they sound like they've listened to far too many Type O Negative CDs but there's still a charm there. And from the songs you've listed, it sounds like they did most of my favourites!
Thank you, so much, for the awesome show review that included so much of yourself. You conveyed it so well that I felt like I was there. (And wish I had been!)
And you've intrigued me with bands I've never heard of, so I'm going to go search out some of their music, since your suggestions have gone over so well before. Thanks!
Sorry I wasn't there - I really wanted to be, but 5000 miles can be an issue... But from the description of your mood that evening I wonder if I might not have just been in the way though. So glad Tiamat managed to make the evening for you (I'm still keen to borrow the CD you said I could borrow when convenient). I'll certainly go next time either band play if at all possible!
Thanks for posting the review - and for letting your friends see just a bit into your deeper workings...
