In the UK you have till the January following a particular tax year to do your filing, assuming you're self-assessed at all. Many people aren't - I only have to do it because I'm one of those crazy self-employed types.

Either way, the upshot is I owe Her Majesty's licensed pickpockets about two hundred and fifty quid, which is actually a lot better than I'd feared...
