Links drop and round-up!

First, an update on the Air Euronymous incident! Much to my delight, the poll closed with Euronymous way out in the lead - we'll find out on 11th April whether Norwegian had the nerve to put him on their final shortlist. *grin* Meanwhile, Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet have weighed in on the debate, and to my jawdropping ( Read more... )

Yours was the only 'National Cleavage Day' entry which was genuinely worth its weight in gold! A job well done and executed. Who needs a generic tit shot when you can brandish an axe instead?

And for editing together that radio spot, I say 'Nice one' too! Would it be okay if himself links to that from his site?

Thank you! It was just a flash of inspiration born of my contempt for the entire idea, but it seems to have been extremely well received and I'm flattered by the reactions I'm getting - far more flattered than I'd have been by hearing "nice tits". *grin*

And wow, I would be honoured to have my little cut-and-shut job linked on Gav's site; please tell him I said yes, with pleasure! ^_^

Seen and tweeted, awesome! Gav's site needs more promoting anyway - a man's own website should always be the second hit on a Google search for his name (after his Wikipedia entry, obviously) and it's a great offence against the right order of things that the second result on a search for "Gavin Baddeley" is currently... Varg Vikernes bitching about Lucifer Rising. GTFO!

Google translates into Metallenglisch!

"Recently I met a middle-aged tweed wearing Briton with a doctorate in chemistry in Oslo. We chatted and I asked if he liked jazz. "O'no", he replied: "I am myself Mon metal, and a great fan of the norwegian black metal scene."

That could have been me. Except... middle-aged? Tweed-jacketed? Sounds more like Paul Gazzoli, except his doctorate is in ASNAC.

Emma pointed out the Metallenglisch thing as well. Awesome, isn't it?

Your posts are an absolute delight to read.

That woman who interviewed Gavin Baddeley has a really, really weird accent. I can't place it and it's driving me nuts :S

Mmmm... axes...

Heh, thank you! ^_^

I don't know where she's from either... I was thinking that the entire time too. I quite like her accent but you're right, it's impossible to pin down!

The weird thing is, random accent woman wasn't even the person who interviewed him! A local guy did the interview, then they dubbed her in reading the questions. The way stuff works is odd.
