English Russia is absolutely loaded with these - photo posts showing Ladas and Moskviches of variable age and condition with their wheels buried in fresh tarmac, nose-down in a lake or falling through a hole that suddenly appeared in the road for no reason - and one of the latest is bus drivers with dashcams recording the chaos caused by the pathetically low driving standards around, for instance, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod and the like. Some of the moves absolutely defy belief. Some of it will be caused by very poor driver training during the communist period, when nobody was ever realistically going to own a car because the waiting list was ten years long and communist governments hate the freedom that it gives, compounded by the relaxation of those communist rules which meant that any idiot who could get their hands on an old wreck and make it go would suddenly flood onto the roads, before the driver training standards could be brought up to more acceptable levels.
