I was very disappointed by the HIMYM finale. I thought it lame storytelling at best to reveal the climax early. Yes, I know it's the journey, and they've played out the wedding for a very long time already, but...revealing Barney's bride now? Why keep watching? The whole point of the show was to see who it was (I couldn't care less about Ted), and now we know, so...why bother tuning in?

I don't get it. I clicked the #HIMYM tag on Twitter and my opinion seems to be shared with about 25% of the fans and the rest liked it.

At least I'm not alone, but I can't believe how many people approve of the reveal. (Not who it is, mind you, because I ship that hard, but the fact that it was revealed now. It's spoiling for your own show, and I do not approve. )

And somehow I suspect I'll fall of the HIMYM wagon now, just like I did back when...wait! When was it? That's right. The last time this pair got together. Why watch if you know? Silly.

I didn't mind the reveal itself, and I enjoyed the first half of the ep with the baby being born, but the whole Barney/Quinn story was weak. Also, I do care about Ted, but the whole Victoria thing felt really left field and where they left it put a bad taste in my mouth.

So I share your feelings of "meh" about the finale, though for slightly different reasons. It wasn't a very Legendary episode, all things considered.

Valid points on both Barney/Quinn and Ted/Victoria. Both were very...odd. And babies? Well, they're babies. They don't excite me in any form, much less on TV, where they typically indicate sharks in the water if not jumping over the moon. So...yeah. Meh would be about right.
