personal odyssey

I'm really proud of this essay. And I sort of hate being all "hey guys! validate my writing abilities!", but I said from the very beginning that I would use this journal as a means of storing what I consider my good pieces.  And this is one of them. I read mine out loud in class and my professor/advisor was in tears. So that's a good sign? Anyway, ( Read more... )

That's a NICE piece of work there, Honey. I am so proud when I read something of yours like this ... 'Oh, good opening!... Yes! 'practicing my walk in heels' -- nice specificity!

You've become a writer on this odyssey, too.

And I cried at the end, just like Judy. I'm not even sure why -- but you hit an emotional chord there somehow.

Thanks friend :) I feel pretty lucky that not only did I get the opportunity to go to the school of my choice, but I got to spend these four years doing something I probably would have done on my own time anyway. Feels good.

Ohhh, Caitlin. This was so sweet and beautiful and well-written. It's also very inspiring that you went ahead and followed your passion and it has all worked in your favour... it reinforces my belief that next year I should try and follow mine. So thanks, for that :)
