I have book OCD too, except the exact opposite...all mine have to be hardcover. :)

Well, when I started collecting the Harry Potter books I was a poor college student, so hardcover was out of the question.

I wait until it's been out for about two weeks...then the supermarkets have it for like $16.99...not terrible, but better than $40. :)

I *think* I'd get it for about that through B&N, but the other thing is that they take up a heck of a lot of shelf space in hardcover. Not that they don't in paperback, but it is slightly smaller, and bookshelf space is prime real estate in my house at the moment.

One day, Rich and I will have a house where we can have a room with walls lined with bookshelves floor to ceiling...
