This has an almost magical quality to the story. I really loved this AU.

I'm... probably being weird by commenting on this in 2015, but in my defence I recently started rewatching Saiyuki in a spate of nostalgia and am now delving through all the fic available for my OTP ahaha.

Thank you for writing this. It's beautifully detached from the original but retains their characters quite excellently, and I really appreciated how something ordinary launched off their meeting, as well as how your Sanzo wasn't over-the-top caustic. What a dynamic, too! And the language is lovely, and I'm also really glad that this wasn't another broken link (I've had my hopes sunk quite a few times so far :'-(). So glad I found this. :-)
