Weeeell, basically, you're writing your paper in order to convince someone (let's assume this person doesn't agree with you on whatever you're arguing) toward your way of thinking. A good way to start is to think of the best way you state what you're trying to prove and why, and then explain your points for this (one point per paragraph, depending).

I good question would be: what are you trying to persuade people to think? I remember having the write a similar paper in college on the spot. Half of that class had to write WHY graffiti should be legal and the other half had to write why it should be illegal... I had to be stuck on the illegal side of things, if I do recall... God, that class was a pain. TWO HEAVY WRITING COURSES IN ONE DAY!!! Why the HELL did I ever do that for!?

Aaanyway, I don't know what your assignment is exactly, so don't take my word for it. Did you teacher just throw this at you or did they explain the process first? Hate Hated it when teachers did that...

Well, my teacher did explain the process, but not in her usual way. (Which wasn't her fault. She'd been sick, and for 2/3 of the explaining process, had been absent. So when she came back, she just kind of threw an explaination together and said, "Write it!") And it doesn't help that NEVER IN MY LIFE have I EVER written a persuasive paper. (I chose world hunger, BTW.) At least it's not due till Thursday (4/19), but the rough draft is due Tuesday! ;___; I'm writing it right now (well, more like the outline).

Ooooh, k k. How long does it have to be? And you know, world hunger doesn't seem like a bad thing to argue about. ^__^ Happy, healthy, well-fed people make the world a better place! I know I love food! And I love those who GIVE me food. And I share in my joy... as long as they ask first (no one tries stealing my pizza without risking a limb)... But food is always good!!!

It has to be, like, 5 paragraphs long (at least). And you want to know what makes this worse? After I turn in the final paper, a week later, I have to give a SPEECH about it! X___x Argh, I HATE speeches/presentations! I always suck at them and get too nervous. Thank God school is almost over for me.
