Granted Audra wasn't the best cook in the world, so she figured that ordering something was the best course of action. So she ordered chinese. And she ordered alot of it, generally about everything you could or possibly like, and then a lot of fried rice just in case. She even ordered sushi, though she wasn't sure if he actually liked that or not. It had only gotten there a couple of minutes before the door rang for the second time and Audra went to go answer it.

She opened up the door with a large smile on her face, seeing Miles there. "Hi!" she greeted, gesturing for him to come inside. "Thanks for y'know.. helping me out and everything.." she took his coat once he was inside to hang up. Her apartment was pretty small, and generally everything fit into two rooms. "I ordered chinese.."

Miles was just shoving his scarf into a coat pocket as the door opened, and he turned a sheepish smile up at Audra. "Hi," he greeted. "Really, it's no problem, I don't mind at all. Just promise you won't laugh when I'm terrible." Because he was certain he'd be terrible: in undergrad, his roommates had always wiped the floor with him whenever he'd sat down to play.

The coat was handed over as Miles stepped inside. "Chinese is great. Thank you for dinner - though you didn't really have to, you know, I'd have come over anyway." He grinned. "Though, you know. I certainly won't turn it down."

"You're really, a lifesaver, and I swear there won't be making any fun of anyone or laughing or anything. It's not.. really that kind of game anyways. I tried making like a .. shooter game? Where you just kill things? I couldn't think of a plot.." she shrugged a little and let him get situated.

She shook her head, "I totally owe you for helping me out, dinner's just.. my way of saying thanks especially since you don't mind that I can't cook. Do you wanna eat first? Before it gets cold?" she walked over to the table where the food was.

"I cook. If you ever want lessons or something, I'm your guy. But takeout's just fine too - it's a time saver. I have to admit, I've got some West Village menus on my fridge." Miles meandered over to the table, and hovered until Audra had picked a seat. Then he followed suit.

"So what's the game? Does it have a story, or is it more puzzle-related or something?"

(Moved over to keep the text from getting all squished.)

"Really, it's not a problem. I'm happy to help - I want you to get a decent grade. It wasn't too long ago that I was suffering through Comp I and desperately trying to get out of there with a B+." Miles accepted the ice cream and scooted down so that Audra could take a seat, too.

"So how long do you have left? Is the end in sight, at least? That's almost worse - because then there's anticipation to deal with, too. I remember my last year; it was tough, and not just because Patricia popped up with my Compendium."

"I really hope I do.. every year they pick the top two.. the ones that get the best grades and then send a copy of the game to some of the really big gaming companies to take a look at. They're hired people based on their final project.. so .. I'm more nervous then I should be I guess.." she shrugged one of her shoulders and sat down.

"I've just got this semester. I graduate in the spring. Well as long as I get a passing grade on this. After that I'm pretty much done.. I just wanna be over with it.." she rubbed at her shoulder slightly. "I feel so old.. being.. 3 or 4 years ahead of everyone else.. but I guess that's what college is for."
