After the funeral and the burial, Elisa had gone back to the Pen with her car full of pastries in the back seat. She'd made sure she got there ahead of everyone so she could set up the food and get things in order. She put them all out on a couple of trays and then waited for the throngs of people. When people came in that she knew, she said hello to them but kind of waved her hand and didn't say anything when they asked if she made the pastries.

Spotting Neil over in the corner, she wandered over, "Hi.." she said quietly.

Upon arriving at the Pen, Neil located a seat far from the rest and sat, silently observing everybody who had come to the wake, and smoking a cigarette. He'd seen Elisa approaching, but made no movement or even changed his facial expression.

"Hello, Elisa." Neil's voice was distant.

There wasn't really a point in asking how he was, so she just handed him over a pastry, and if he didn't want it, she set it down next to him. For a moment she didn't say much of anything in return, gazing out the window. Eventually her eyes flickered back to his, "Can I have one of those.." indicating his cigarette. Hey at least she wasn't trying to smoke his.

Neil picked up the pastry and was examining it when Elisa asked her for a cigarette. Reaching into the pocket of his suit, he pulled out his pack and tapped one out, then held it out for her to take.

"Be careful," Neil said, dryly. "People will accuse us of flirting."
