Katie heard the phone ringing, and made a dash for it. She picked it up, but nearly dropped it when she heard who was on the other line. She hadn't expected Athan to call back; she was kind of assuming he'd be put off by how awful her message was, so this was a surprise. She fumbled for a second, then cleared her throat, putting on a smile - as if he could see it.

"Oh, hi, Athan! Um, thanks for calling back."
