This is amazing, I just created an account only to be able to add it to my memories...
The whole discussion with Harley was deeply fascinating, you explained his motivations, his relation to the batman, his regards to the established order and moral.. well everything I was trying (clumsily I might say) to explain to my folks except you did it in a magistral (can we say that in english?) way.
"You’re telling your victims why they deserve to have your scars when you force them to become part of your stories"--> I had never thought about it that way.. this is deeply interesting.
Also, I liked the fact that I could actually believe that he was in a therapy session with a qualified psychiatrist, It's seemed realistic.
Anyway, really good chapter, I'm going to read everything there is to read on your livejournal and see if there is a sequel. Can't wait to read what happens next. Good work!

I'm flattered that you liked it enough to create a Livejournal account. I like your icon of Poison Ivy, by the way.

About the scar stories...by putting his victims in the stories as the reason he has his scars, he's victimizing them for a second time; in my opinion, what he's doing is similar to what a rapist does when he tells his victims that they were asking for it. Not only is he hurting them, but he's shifting the blame.

His mix of delusional and rational motivations were inspired in part by some of the mentally ill homeless people I've met in my life time, at least the part where he was thinking/talking about getting Harley and Batman to see "The Truth".

I haven't written a second chapter yet, as you have probably seen. I had somewhat of a writer's block with this story, so I took a break from it, but I am working on it again.

Thanks again for reviewing!

Just to let you know, I updated the story. It's only the first half of the second chapter; since I use this journal mostly for revision before I post to other fanfic sites, I can do that ;) , but I'll try to get the second part out soon.
