What is it that makes something or someone seem so plain? Is it lack of creativity? The ordinary? Things feel like such copies, copies of copies. Why continue something that has gone on for so long and since lost its luster? Why be so content with something you're not so content with in the first place? I can't think of good change being so

Change may be troublesome, but whether good or bad, it's usually inevitable.
If you have to ask why, (with all your considerations/ observations) it's probably an indication some sort of action is required.

I'm quite fond of vanilla, but you wern't talking about icecream.
