Quickie

Just a super quick post to say that Frodo went with Michael & I on a trail ride yesterday, and he was awesome!  I cantered more, which was a lot of fun, though I had to grab mane a lot!  I learned a bit more about cantering at riding lesson yesterday, even though Dixie didn't really want to canter, and so I only got a stride or two out of her

that sounds like so much fun. is frodo uber obedient or did they just want to stay close?

Excellent question! I'm not sure if it was the novelty, or if he was just being really good. On our first day back at dog school after a vacation, he's often extra good, so it might have been first time jitters. Alternatively, we were in a good environment for him- the pack was on the move, and he likes that. He did bark at me a little bit the two times we halted for a few moments, even putting a paw on me/the horse the second time.

I guess I'll just have to bring him next time & see how he does.
Any suggestions?
