There are horses here.

This probably does not come as news to anyone else. But Eowyn did not come across the stables until today, and it is therefore news to her, and welcome news, at that. So she stands before one of the stalls, the horse's great nose cupped between her two hands as she speaks softly to it in her people's tongue.

Niko was just walking off his anger - he didn't know there were stables either. But he'll wander in, and pause, reverently, to admire the scene.

She's beautiful.

In turning to the next stall in the row, she catches sight of him and draws up short.

'My lord,' she says, startled.

Niko stills. "Forgive me. I did not mean to startle you." He speaks softly, truly contrite.

The anger has waned with his contemplation. He doesn't stay angry very long - it's against his philosophy, after all.

'It is nothing,' she says. 'You need not apologize.'
