And So... Sanji watches from the deck of their new ship

Notes: None.

Sanji was in a sour mood, and it had something to do with his newest nakama. He hadn’t been getting along with the cyborg all that well recently-it wasn’t nearly as bad as his beefs with the marimo, but it was getting there. And Sanji had a good guess as to why. Where he grilled on the Thousand Sunny’s deck he had a perfect vantage point to see all members of the crew. There were Usopp and Chopper by the mast, mixing paints that would somehow turn into explosives in one way or another. Nami-san was tending to her fruit trees lovingly, feeling generous enough to let Zoro nap under one at the small rate of one hundred beli for the first ten minutes plus fifty beli for each additional minute plus taxes and processing fees. Luffy was in the crows nest talking excitedly to a seagull. And then there were Franky and Robin-chan, casually strolling around the ship on a grand tour.

Another scowl from the blond-Franky had given them all a tour long ago, and if Sanji’s count was still up-to-date this was the fourth private one Robin-chan had received. During all of them Robin-chan was very polite, just as a classy lady such as herself would be. Sanji thought she must have been so bored seeing the same things again and again, even though he begrudgingly admitted that Franky did such a grand job on Sunny that he probably showed Robin-chan something new each time. And, begrudgingly, Sanji had to concede that Robin-chan did look genuinely entertained each trip around the ship. Sanji would know too; he’d devoted the last months of his life to learning every expression and nuance that passed over Robin-chan’s face. Recently she had been more relaxed and simply happier than Sanji had ever seen her before. At first the chef had chalked it all up to the crew and their captain’s words at Eines Lobby. But now, Sanji was beginning to suspect that some of it had to do with that weird-ass iron man.

Sanji sighed, flipping the chicken and burgers on the grill. Oh well. He was never destined to win Robin-chan’s heart-Sanji had known that long, long ago. But he could still be a little pissed about it, couldn’t he?

Somewhere from the deck, Robin-chan was laughing at something Franky had either said or done. And Sanji decided that no, he really couldn’t be that pissed at all.
