I finally moved into Whitworth two days ago, and honestly, I don't know what to think of it. I've been struggling, with success coming but an hour ago, to set up my laptop to the network here. In order to go online there's a series of anti-virus software you're required to set-up, both of which work poorly or not at all with the Vista operating ( Read more... )

Don't just write off the people in your hall. I was worried that I'd be all the time walking to Random Hall, where the "really weird" people live, but the people on my floor are turning out to be perfectly nice and hang-out-able (if disappointingly normal). Anyway. (Of course, for all I know, you've tried these football players already and found them insufferably boring, in which case please ignore the above.)

Sucks on the laptop tech issues :-P

Are you at least getting lots of free food?

Oh hell yes. As I write this response, I just came back from a BBQ on the hall lawn. The quality was just NOM.

Not everyone on my floor is so bad; My roomate is quite a baller, and I've found my next-door guys to be avid gamers, so all is not lost in the social quality of my hall.

In other news, nice news to hear. And I concur with my esteemed colleague here, floor mates may seem boring at first, but once you realize you will have classes with some of them, they get cool.
