Blood Bound by
Patricia Briggs My rating:
4 of 5 starsThis wasn't my favorite, but I'm just not a fan of the vampires. They aren't badly written or anything, but I felt uncomfortable with them and don't trust them (except Stefan). So, in my own way, that's a compliment to the writing.
I'm still enjoying the slow pace at which the larger story is playing out.

Iron Kissed by
Patricia Briggs My rating:
5 of 5 starsWhile I should have found this one a more difficult read, I didn't. It did have its moments, but the end was handled much better than that type of thing has been handled in other books. It hit closer to home, too.
There was a bit of catharsis to be had in reading it that I hadn't expected.
The end result was me wanting to give Patricia Briggs a hug and thank her for the way she treated it.
That's about all I'll say on that, or I'll get into spoilers.
