H&M has über-cute denim skirts for summer. *want*
And I have new, red, canvas flats for summer. Because it is summer and time for canvas. And red makes me happy. And...Fourth of July clichés. I'm afraid you'll have to forgive me.
What? Pictures? *grumbles* (
Oh, fine, then.... )

Flats are fun. I should wear them more often. I'm sure you look adorable in them.
Dude, I have a pair of the aforementioned BC moccasin wedges, and every time I wear them I'm afraid various girls at school are going to kill me and take them. Especially when I tell them that they can't be bought any more. It took me forever to get mine, like two months backordered from Urban Outfitters. But I got mine last year, not two years ago...
J.Crew has some really fantastic espadrilles, and they should be going on sale fairly soon. What shoe size do you wear, btw? Banana Republic has good espadrilles, too.

Yeah, me too. Which is why I almost always wear heels. Plus, heels make me a good 5'10 or 5'11, which I like for the intimidation factor.
You remember that? Wow, even I'd forgotten. Green shoes are wonderful! I can't seem to stop buying them. And they're seriously versatile. I'm starting to think of green as a neutral. Fine with jeans, good with khakis and brown skirts and blue tops and burgundy or rose tops.
Banana Republic can be expensive. Quite frankly, I almost never buy anything there because it all seems to be suited to someone about 8-10 years older than I am. And they do vanity size dreadfully. But I love J. Crew with a great and wibbly love, and their days of vanity sizing seem to be over. Granted, they're probably a size or so off from designer, but who cares?
Just wondered because I'm nosy. I'm a ten, which I like because I can always find shoes on sale, and the ones I want are almost never sold out.

*laugh* With heels and platforms, I'd be lucky to top 5'7". Intimidation by height is definitely not feasible for me.
Good point. I wear a lot of black, though, which I feel green doesn't work quite so well with.
Funny; I never shop at Ann Taylor (which my mother loves) for the same reason. I discovered today, though, that they do have rather cute espadrilles. I like J. Crew's better, though. And some of them are already on sale! To wait for the others to go on sale or to buy now; that is the question....
Lucky you. 7-8.5 seems to be the most common shoe size in this country, so it's always hard to find shoes in my size, especially when they're on sale.

The only problem with those shoes you just got is they are so flat. I don't know why, but I hate the straight-across-the-bottom look for myself.
I've been coveting a pair of espadrilles, although I used to hate them.
I have the same problem with flats, that my calves are just so large that most shoes look funny on the end, and my legs look stubby with skirts. But large calves (and ankles) seem to run in the family, except for Dad.
My problem with heels is the height factor. They're pretty and make my legs look better, but they also make me about six feet, and instead of intimidation, just makes me less confident and stick out a mile.

The sad thing is that both of those other pairs of shoes went into the rubbish bin last summer. They were cute and fun, but I wore through them in what seemed like no time. *sigh* Such is my lot in life, it seems. Cute shoes never last.
I've always liked espadrilles, but only recently started to think that I could and would actually wear them.
Large calves and ankles run in my mum's side of the family, too. It's the Hawai'ian build, and methinks the German blood doesn't help.
