I would do this meme, but the closest book to me is The Elements of Style, and page 123 consists of a list of "words often misspelled", which makes for useful but perhaps not terribly interesting reading.

And yes, why would you change that title? Thankfully, the Ibbotson editions available in Australia largely stick to the original titles (with the exception of The Secret Countess A Countess Below Stairs), which really are much better than the new ones.

Looking very pretty in those photos, milady!

Heh heh heh. I very nearly had The Library At Night closest to hand -- which is a gorgeous book, so gorgeous that I am reading it ve-ry slow-ly (libraryyyy, don't make me give it baaaack!), and then I would have looked Extremely Distinguished. Ah well. :D

As supposed romance novel titles go, at least they picked something reasonably tame and respectable. Searching the library system for new books, I found such gems as The Italian's Marriage Revenge and The Tycoon's Virgin Bride. OKAY THEN.

And thank you! ^-^

adooorable shirt! I enjoy your clothing posts. I feel you on the fitting-room thing. I'm glad you've made it through that and are on the other side - I think I only got there in my mid-twenties. Now I'm like, if something doesn't fit me, it's the clothing's fault, not mine - I don't take it so personally. Curvy women are hot! and I am happy to be one.

Why thank you!

It helps that we moved from a place with icky urban thrift stores full of junk (and through my childhood and early teens we could only afford thrift stores and the occasional mall trip to scout out discounted jeans) to a place with really amazing Goodwills that have deals with various department stores, so the quality is better -- and I've learnt to stop thinking in sizes, as I have comfortably fitting clothing in everything from small to extra large to discarded handmade. I also widened my horizons beyond Cool Things (of course, then wacky vintage became cool, so now I'm a bit pouty about them stealing my thunder), and hey! Vintage dresses were made for my figure!

Thank God, though, we've passed the age of crop tops and severely low-rise jeans. Nothing looked good on me back then! Hmph.
