a cornucopia of adventurey things

Heavens, it's been nearly a week since last I posted! For shame! But really, I've been rather shockingly busy, in, yes, the offline world, what with writing a Hire Me letter and composing my first proper resume ever (it's very short and not terribly impressive, but the fonts are lovely!) for the job at the local paper, and then accidentally ( Read more... )

When my parents still had their old minivan that only had a tape player the only thing we listened to was old Steeleye Span tapes too! You can't really go wrong there :)

THIS IS TRUE. However I think we only have three surviving tapes, and usually only one of them was in the car, and Dad got a little tired of me trying to play it multiple times on the same roadtrip. ;) But he got me All Around My Hat for my birthday, so all's well. :D

I completely agree with you on the subject of amusement parks. There is something so whimsical and yet slightly creepy about them, it quite delights me.

I remember the Hershey's factory as being very disappointing in comparison to the Jelly Belly factory (which, btw, I highly recommend if ever you are in Central California), mostly because they don't show anything real. Although it was interesting (although there is a place in Nova Scotia called Ganong's, which is smaller & the tour is far more detailed about the process of chocolate-making, and their product is like forty-two million times more AMAZING). Also, there was chocolate at the end. Factories are fun! We've done several on family road trips, like Herr's, Crayola, and Budweiser, plus the aforementioned... that might be it, but I'm not entirely sure (we toured a US Mint somewhere; I could've sworn it was in DC, but allegedly they don't have a facility there, so I guess it must've been the one in Philly; does that count?). Anyway.

SEVEN EPISODES OF JAMIE!ACCENT + FREEMA + TRENCH COATS + PEA COATS + SCARVES + LAWYERS IN SEXY WIGS ARE WAITING FOR YOU I AM JUST SAYING.
