Foremost on the list of Things Which Would Be Nice About Now is: a fire. Possibly in the middle of my bedroom floor, so long as it is safely contained and not likely to burn anything it isn't supposed to (thereby rendering us unable to get our deposit back), and, primarily, warm and cosy. I could roast marshmallows. Or tasty sausages. Or, more ( Read more... )

I really must see The Dark Knight again; I enjoyed it immensely in the cinema, although my experience was slightly tainted by my paranoia that I would be late for work. Also keep meaning to see The Prestige. I loathed Memento. It is very interestingly laid out & I think it struck me as very beautifully filmed in many parts (but I am not knowledgeable about such things the way you are), but at the end of it, I was really just furious I'd wasted two or so perfectly good hours of my life.

Music video for Gravity, you say?!? -runs to watch-

Haha, so I was in Wal-Mart yesterday looking at the DVDs to see if I could find something for my little sister's half-birthday package, and I saw The Illusionist, which is when it struck me that that is the film I have been meaning to see. And also that I have seen The Prestige about four times and adore it madly. So, you know. Just kidding. -hides-

Memento is by no means a happy film, but it's creative and certainly worth seeing more than once.

I do wish I had known of Rabbit Hole Day before the 28th.

There are now comments on the first three chapters of Evangeline's Saga. I'll send the entire batch on over when it's complete - or at the point I realize I'll never finish. But I hope for the former.

Fingerless gloves with fingers. Rather like a headless snake's head, I imagine. They exist in some Zen dimension in which things are, are not, and are simultaneously all of the above.... all at once, or never, or both, or neither, or all of the above.

Of course I knew you would get it, but as far as I know no-one else did, and those who did comment didn't get it at first. *facepalm* But thank you, dear, for that lovely distraction. :)

Halfly fingerless gloves are marvelous too, as is The Dark Knight! I completely appreciated the characterisations of multiple characters with amazing special effects and everything. I'm glad we can have "popular" movies that are still great.

I'm watching the video now. It has to load, but she looks so beautiful. :)

Oh, I adore Memento! It's one of my favourites, along with The Prestige, and The Dark Knight, and ... yeah. <3
