So ... I am a college student and very much poar, but it's actually really nice reading about what you want! I definitely love fingerless gloves, and honestly I am remembering things to put on my wishlist, hee.

p.s. You do know there's a high probability of you getting stabbed by wearing that Blue Sun t-shirt? ;)

Do they offer it in red?

*chortles* I know exactly the person who woudl stab me, too. I have a small dancer friend with long dark hair who can do an uncanny River impersonation -- sometimes on purpose, and sometimes without paying any attention, which is slightly terrifying. :D

I know it's not the same as a tangible book, but were you aware of this online copy of The Blue Castle from Project Gutenberg AU? It's got a bunch of other books by LM Montgomery as well. I needed a Blue Castle fix (did you know that the ALL THE LIBRARIES IN CHICAGO together only have TWO copies of The Blue Castle between all of them? There are more than EIGHTY branches! I was horrified.) and googled it so I could at least read the Wiki article about it (yeah I was that desperate -- it's one of my HUGE comfort books, it's the comfort book equivalent of warm, gooey brownies for me.) and I found THAT. I nearly swooned. Yay for the internet!

Ehm, so I realise I don't know you at all, but I KIND OF LOVE YOU RIGHT NOW. Because The Blue Castle is also one of my major comfort books, and my sisters and I quote it regularly whenever we are together, &&&... it's so terribly underrated and unknown, and I (obviously) get really excited whenever someone else who has even heard of it, much less loves it.

Also, since you were clearly made of win, I clicked on over to your profile and basically, you are made of even more win than I originally thought (you are going to culinary school, for one thing!), so I was wondering if you would possibly maybe like to be friends? /awkwardness

It is NOT well known enough!! I was lucky enough that my library had a copy that I found while on a I-must-read-everything-by-LM-Montgomery-kick. And now it's one of my favorite books, period. It's so evocative, from the dreariness of her first life to the beauty of her second, my only wish is that it was longer.

I would love to be friends! Friends of friends always turn out to be awesome, and you look to be made of win-cake as well, so I've added you. =)

If you want to email me an address, I can happily supply something from the mixtape front...I also support your desire for a record player, and wish that I could supply - unfortunately, being a poor student, I'd be lucky to afford the Fisher-Price plastic variety (do they still even make those things?) But yes, mixtapes (or CDs as the case will be), I can definitely do. There may even be decoration :)

My father even has a few surviving records from the seventies (he's lost or got rid of all but the most important ones?), and I have some people have given me -- Joan Baez and Joni Mitchell and a recording of Saint Saens Carnival of the Animals I got for a quarter at Goodwill -- but we still have no record player. Thrift shops are full of ancient silly-looking televisions; why not record players? :p

I've got contact information f-locked here. :D :D :D

*snicker* Oh boy have I got ideas. ^_^

Also, remember us and Stardust and watching it over and Over and OVER again??? :D Those were fun times... I miss that. When you come for ComicCon we should take the time to watch it again. ;) Because you *are* coming for ComicCon. You haven't a choice. Start saving! ;)

Now. As to those ideas... *grinses*
