I'm thinking that maybe this weekend I will actually have a really excellent night's sleep. This I am looking forward to.

So: I have all this stuff to do tonight, including a) some baking, b) cleaning the bedroom, and b) NaNoing. Ergo, I am drinking coffee. I don't particularly like coffee, but I need to stay up tonight, and today at work I was ( Read more... )

sounds like you're drinking crappy coffee. Is it Starbucks? Starbucks coffee is terrible: their roasting sucks, and badly roasted beans makes bad coffee. Sorry if I start to sound overzealous here, but when I read about people drinking terrible, bitter coffee, it makes my fingers twitch -- I want to sit them down with some freshly ground Jamaica Blue Mountain and a french press, and show them REAL coffee, not this awful shite that can only be drunk disguised with a ton of sugar and cream and fake flavors. *twitchtwitch* Gawd! There aren't any Caribou Coffees in your area, are there? What about an Intelligentsia? I know Starbucks pretty much defines the term ubiquitous at this point, and I'll admit to going there when I've got a caffeine jones brewing and nowhere better to go, but they really do suck, and they charge way too much for their crappy coffee. . . Sigh.

Well. Um, in spite of the opinion of the previous commenter, I actually happen to love Starbucks coffee (& did before I became Officially Biased). I'm sure there are coffees that are better or equally as good, but some of ours are amazing (we just tend to roast them more darkly than a lot of people prefer), and I may very well send you some. And a little french press, because there is absolutely nothing in the world like a cup of french pressed coffee (especially these couple blends I've got stockpiled because they're the only ones I'll drink without a bit of molasses or cream. speaking of which: molasses helps with the bitterness.). -scampers off to work-

Also, as I only know James Marsters from Torchwood, the thought of him singing traditional ballads is incredibly amusing. (Actually, the thought of him singing at all is incredibly amusing, and while I possess a couple of his songs, I can only listen to them without smirking if I don't let myself know it's him. Hee.)
