Busy days, gorblimey. The rest of the week ought to slow down a bit, I think -- I need to catch up on NaNo rather terrifically (the bit I wrote on my shift today? seems to have stopped just short of the Plot Point at last), and also sleep. Which, um, I could have been doing lately, but -- well, it's more difficult when one has Things to do. Sunday ( Read more... )

Haha, I love that you hate Edward Cullen so much. It makes me feel like I'm not alone.

I've not told you, but your posts always make me think you must have a British accent. Not a snooty posh one, but something more Northern, like Yorkshire. I'm not sure why.

And I'm always compelled to use on of my prettier icons.

A massive poster for the Twilight film has appeared on the station billboard overnight. I am not impressed.

Glad to hear of busyness and fun!

One time in Oxford I saw an older gentleman wearing a deerstalker hat and smoking a pipe. It was awesome. I had to suppress the urge to run after him to say "you, sir, have just made my day!". I just said it to myself under my breath, instead...

"Which reminds me of the other bloke in the long coat I saw my first day -- he was pale and very -- his face was very sculpted? -- and he had long dark hair, and was dressed sort of -- unusually, but not in the sort of way that immediately draws one's attention. I think he had on a waistcoat and tie, along with the LONG BLACK COAT WHICH FLOWED OUT BEHIND HIM."

I WOULD HAVE FALLEN IN LOVE WITH HIM. I mean, really. Long, dark hair and sculpted face? These are all precisely to my preference. And a waistcoat and tie? LONG BLACK COAT WHICH FLOWED OUT BEHIND HIM?!?! Are you sure that, in this rift of dimensions we've been currently experiencing, the man of my dreams that I have not yet fully pictured accidentally sprang into existence for the wrong person?

Erm. Oops? :D

But he may not be entirely human! He may also be hundreds of years old and embroiled in some kind of crazy magical conflict involving warring tribes! He totally looked like that kind of bloke! :p
