So, have been functioning and not functioning in rather dizzying succession, and have been mostly scanning the internet in a sort of haze and not getting anything done. (Sounding familiar yet?) The good news is that I saw Serenity and it was fantastic (and I really really do need to say something more concrete about both Firefly and Serenity ( Read more... )

I adore your music taste, so I am taking everything.

Autumn rain is simply magical.

Why thank you! :D I hope you enjoy it. I've discovered rather a lot of good music through you (have I mentioned how much I like Delerium?). :D

Isn't it, though? I met a neighbourhood sort-of-friend when I was outside, and she was all "this weather is so cold and awful!" and I'm looking at her askance saying "but -- but it's so perfect!" and then we laughed at each other because we both look completely daft from the other's perspective.

I'm so glad you like Delerium! They are just wonderful.

Did you know that Delerium came out with a side project with Leigh Nash (who used to be the frontwoman for Sixpence None The Richer) last month? It's called Fauxliage. I like it lots.

Anyway, I'm returning the favor of beautiful music with beautiful music!
All The World (Fauxliage)
Unplayed Piano (Chris Lord-Alge Mix) (Damien Rice)
Gravity (Live In San Fransisco) (Vienna Teng)
Half-Acre (Hem)

I think you'll like them a lot, especially the Vienna song - this version is amazing!

I downloaded them too; hope you don't mind. I'm really loving the Fauxliage song in particular.

DEB TALAN THAT I DO NOT HAVE. -glomps it & you-

Shall take it all eventually, but for now am just stealing the Deb. And isn't Stars lovely? I mean, that whole album is, but I've always been particularly attached to Stars, and then it became one of my Martha songs, so I can't get enough of it. (Do you have Deb's Forgiven?)

I KNOW, ISN'T IT BRILLIANT. Nelle, do you realise that last.fm tells me I have listened to "Ashes on Your Eyes" eighty-three times? D:

"Stars" is just...guh. It was the first song I really fell in love with that I hadn't already heard (i.e. "Painting by Chagall", "Slow Pony Home"), and I think it was my key to the album. I think I first really heard it when I was with my mother at Wal-Mart, and I wandered around crashing into things for a while. (And yes, I have got "Forgiven", but thanks! ♥)

Ah, music love. ♥♥♥

(is it just me, or is "Some Surprise" linking to the Doctor Who theme?)

I wish we still had the fall colours here... everything is green and brown now, and today was despicably windy, so much so that I could hardly walk into it. (It was an I-hate-Fargo sort of day.) It's been much nicer this past week, with a nice breeze and comfortably misty/rainy weather. Oh the bliss. :)

Whoops, I fixed it. Ack, that's happened the last two times I've posted music! *headdesk*

Oh dear! The trees haven't quite finished changing here, although it's a little annoying that the leaves drop off half of them before the last ones have turned.

I took all of them except for "Little Sadie," as I have that album and love it dearly. But did you hear that Rushad (cellist) is leaving the band? It's rather upsetting, but they're replacing him with another cello + fiddle, which should be interesting It makes me really grateful that I saw them this past summer...

I've been listening to all of these this past day and I so approve of your musical taste :) And thanks for the Swell Season one! Have you seen Once? It's a really lovely little film, a very unconventional love story. With wonderful music :)

I heard about Rushad! And I'm terribly sad, but also very, very glad I saw them this summer myself. Their new cellist won't crowd-surf like him! ;p I just hope the new cellist can even begin to approach his dynamic style, because that's one of the things that really made Crooked Still stand out to me.

Why thank you! I was going to comment (but I forgot) on your music-sharing post that your musical taste seems just like mine, except with lots and lots of artists I've never heard of. The songs you posted all felt like the sorts of sounds I didn't know I'd been looking for.

Alas, I haven't seen Once, and won't be able to until it comes out on DVD -- I live in a small town and the local theatre only shows blockbusters and things with explosions and blood in. But it looks exactly like the sort of thing I'd love; I like small intimate stories.
