You know, it does little for my faith in my writing that I can't even win an Internet award. But that's okay -- I love most of the people who DID win, and they all deserved it. I'm just being selfish and stupid. But...it would have been nice to win one. Just one little award?

Awww...I'm sorry, Carrie. Remember that it's not a relection on your writing. You are a fabulous writer, and you don't need a Spooky to remind you of that. Still, I know it's hard sometimes. Having the recognition is a really nice thing.

Oh, hon, I totally voted for you and was shocked not to see your name up there. You're a wonderful writer and you've given many of so much enjoyment from your stories. And no award could sum up how very talented you are.

Toniann is ABSOLUTELY on the mark when she says this. I've seen this myself and considered putting it in my post to you, but didn't really know exactly how to word it. (Some great writer, eh?) I will therefore echo my Twin and say read her post, twice, for me.

Don't let an award, or lack thereof, put doubt in your mind. You know you love to write, and people always love the things they are best at. So, spooky or none, if you let things like this get you down then you'll end up hating what you once loved>>>>> yourself. Did you ever doubt yourself when you were a child? Does your daughter? Wouldn't it be tragic if she did? SO STOP. Your daughter needs your confidence.
