Perspective

Perspective is the precipice upon which we all stand and gaze out upon that which we call our world. It shows us what is, and what isn't and how easily those two path cross and the lines between them blur into what could be, and what might be rather than what is. Perspective is the objective mind trying to grasp hold of a railing on a slippery set of stairs, where each step takes you perilously close to slipping and losing one's balance. Sometimes this clarity of position comes at the cost of lose, and re-discovery, and sometimes it is just there to hit us in the mouth when we least expect it. It is both the benefit of intelligence and it's bane, for while it tells us we are human, and we possess the gift of imagination and thought, it also points out that we are human, and not god like in our abilities no matter how our hopes and dreams wish it to be so
