Lolling tongues lapping up lunacy frenetically

Outside, the house looks cozy; settled.

Tremors rock and threaten to level it from within.

Catch the glint of the lambent orb in the night sky and

Ignore the rush of cool air ‘gainst bared flesh

His beaming face distracts the immaculate

From the precious treasure stolen away
