I don't have synesthesia, but I can relate to the colour thing. I also "feel", "taste", and "smell" things. Certain people and places have a specific feeling, taste, or smell. Words or names can be like this at times, but not as often. And some people are even animals. I think this is all attributed to having a more empathetic or feeling, right brained if you will, perception of the world.

everything for me has a color. but colors don't have a thing. i looked at that meme and it didn't really make sense to me. well, some of it did.
apparently there is a real test that can be done to tell if you're a synesthete or not, but it's done over a period of time to test consistence in answers.
