Did I reply to the first part of this? Well, if I didn't, I liked them both. :) You've done a really good job of putting case and character together and making it work. And I think you've written about Chase's self-injury nicely...okay, wrong word. Um...sensitively? I'm not really sure exactly what I mean (it's late; I'm tired) but it's all good. You're not making it sound like he's punishing himself exactly; more that it's an addiction or something like that. Well, that's what I got from it. And I think that's realistic, y'know? Anyway, I'll stop with the waffling and sleep (because if I don't, I'll only end up giving even more people waffly semi-coherent replies).

I've tried reading many self-harm fics, and they're always complete and utter crap! But this one isn't! I think that in itself is impressive (but I like the whole story, too), and I will be on the lookout for more. It will be interesting to see where you take this. :)
