I was at the store the other day and had the misfortune of getting behind a woman who had one bag of tomatoes in the self check out line. Why is that

I think I will go with elegantelbow's suggestion and print out some "reading material".... although that does depend on the masses being literate... damnit!

Absolutely wrong! Even Miss Manners has had to address this problem:

(maybe people should print up copies of that particular article and post it in women's bathroom stalls.

I can actually understand conducting billing information in the bathroom -- because it often involves being on hold for literally hours (with brief times of talking), and I would not hang up, even if I had to poop. But, I would never expect other people in the bathroom to wait on me. That's certifiably self-involved.

Yeah, that is why it kind of annoyed me the other two times, but absolutely made the rant list today.

FYI... I've spoken to you on the phone many times while I was in the bathroom. :-) However, I try to avoid talking on my phone in public restrooms. With all of that tile and metal there's horrible echo in there. *grin*

Stupid people suck. I'm sorry you run into so many of them. mhael wants to eliminate them all in the Empire, so there's hope.

Yeah, but see, you and I have -talked- about that and made the agreement that conversations in the privy may happen... I am sure that this lady and her doctor's receptionist had no such agreement!
