I love this so far! Very interesting concept, indeed. I read the first half of this and then took a shower and came back and finished, but while in the shower, I imagined an Inception movie sequel (I don't know why. The horror, I know.) where it was pretty much this premise and I was like WAIT THIS WAS A FIC I READ OH MAN OH MAN.

The idea of A/E as being Mal's totem of sorts sprang up from something I was talking about with another fanwriter, about Arthur and Eames being part of a whole but not being wrapped up in each other the way Mal/Dom is shown to be. So that's where that came in, and I thought it was good for Mal to see it herself ( ... )
