I think the DDOS attacks aren't really LJ's fault, actually - apparently some fairly high-level Russian political blowups are at the root of this, because I guess there this site is about a whole lot more than fandom and there's some really influential people? Basically this isn't incompetence, it's a freedom of speech thing, is the impression I'm getting. So.
