I think Charles and Raven's relationship is very familial in that way; our family often does not understand us, and even though they love us, that lack of understanding can be damaging. I think I need to address that in "These Twists and Turns of Fate" though I'm debating how to do it, exactly.

Erik is not sentimental, so his mindset isn't really either. He's the practical one.

This is a great fic and a perfect prologue, because now I'm really looking forward to everything that's about to come. :)
Raven's part is just wonderful and yes, much love for "Recent events have changed that.". I love simple, 'matter of fact' lines that say so much about the character's feelings. ♥
