A student killed himself on campus last week, which is just so tragic.  I didn't know him, but I know people who did.  It's been a blow to the community, especially since classes are intensifying now with the end of the semester rapidly approaching.  Everyone is stressed out.  Everyone ( Read more... )

consolation? i still haven't done a ton of stuff in paris, and i'm not going to be able to because i have finals all this week until friday and then ONE WHOLE DAY to pull at 180, pack, say goodbye to everyone, take 1,000 long seine walks, pay my rent, pack and ship my boxes home, think long and hard about my time here, and go.

my advice to you? don't procrastinate. i know it sounds stupid, but don't. STOP READING THIS. just work. i have this

ahhh thank you so muchhhh, that link kicked ass. i am in the middle of doing my laundry, thanks to that site's motivation.

however, i clicked some link someone posted about sugar sensitive people. and i'm pretty sure i'm addicted to sugar. and now i'm sad.

good luck with all your shit. leaving/traveling/etc is sooo hectic, especially with all the schoolwork. YOU CAN DOO IT

You're obviously intelligent and worldly, especially for your age. Don't worry about results that didn't happen as you had planned; the journey is sometimes more important. Know that.

The end of the semester at every college is probably terrible. I remember the hazy sense of panic; fuck that. Do your best work. Think about the work you're doing while you're doing it, not the work that needs to be done. I used to look at page numbers of books I was reading and try to figure out my pace and when I would finish the book and if I could finish before I had to start other things, and I had trouble enjoying reading. Fuck that, too.
