Yeah--it's a really powerful quote--Neil Gaiman is brilliant. And so many situations in BTVS seemed to me right there, so I tried to focus on the emotion as much as possible. It was emotionally rough to make too!
Thank you! That scene just haunts me for some reason. I hope I did it justice so I can let it be for the time being, but it was really emotional to make--Illyria's situation is just so heartbreaking.
I liked the 3rd Amber,so I took it, and will credit you for each I took of course. I think it's the cropping. But I am all about the cropping nowadays...framing is everything. I took Lilah-the evil bitch one, J'adore Mlle. Lilah. I also took 11, and 12. The picture you chose for Anya would be a good one for a couple of different stand alones, btw.
I'm glad you liked the icons. I love Lilah--I don't think I appreciated her enough the first time I watched "Angel" on TV. And as to Amber, yes, framing is everything. I just wanted to try different things and see what people liked. :-) The picture of Anya I almost used when I did a series of "Hell's Bells" icons in my BTVS icons100 challenge. But by the time I did the last two in that series I was too depressed to continue. :-)
And 11 and 12 are the ones I really threw my heart and soul into.
I love your Roy Baty icon. He's yet another Byronic hero, but didn't have time to include him in my book. I think someone else had done an article about "Blade Runner," but they compared him to Frankenstein's Creature (which is also accurate). He is very Byronic as well.
Sweetie, could you please look at opalescence_'s comment below--you might have a helpful suggestion. Also I just discovered that Roy Baty is your brilliant creation, and so I have snagged for future use and will credit of course. :-)
Thank you very much! I'm glad you liked #10. I really like it myself. :-) But I didn't know if it would come across to other folks or if it was just a weird connection in my head. :-) Enjoy!
I love the word "brilliant." :-) It makes my day. A lot of the Amber ones, once I got her face looking the way I wanted (sort of glowy), were easy b/c I just picked textures and frame brushes I liked (thank god for all the wonderful resource makers on LJ!). 11, like I said above, was pretty intense for me. Just thinking about that scene makes me want to cry. I'm glad you like it.
