I love this story so much! Sexy and angsty, the way I like my men and my fanfic. I have had this idea in my head that before Julian, Dave was the "man" in Noel's life, so this hit all my buttons just right. I love the idea of poor Dave suffering quietly in the background just like he's always quietly doing something in the background. There was an interview with the Boosh from (I think) the Autoboosh period where the interviewer mentions the guy with the big handsome face who doesn't do interviews and doesn't want to be photographed. Ever since then, I've been intrigued by Dave and why he shies from the light when he's so talented and funny. Naturally, being intrigued means I want him to suffer great angst (but also have sexy times) so this was just the RPF I've been waiting for.

Wow, thank you so much! Dave really does seem like such a lovely, intelligent guy, and I hate that it's so hard to find any interviews with him. Plus, y'know, he's kind of cute and needs more screen time without a gorilla head on! I have a massive soft spot for him, and I know what you mean about being intrigued by him. I never actually planned to write this, I just sat down with my laptop and this was what happened... Hurting him was kind of painful for me!

Love this! I have thought as well that dave and noel had some history. Have you seen the nme interview after the awards where they're asked who would they had given don't-know-what award and Dave says Noel and rants about him being handsome and stilysh? or something of the sort. That's where my dave/noel love started hahaha. Apart of the fact they whent to art school together *cough* and experimented *cough* ...
I agree there's not enough dave/noel out there!
