I keep getting nervous about how I'm going to be able to handle a newborn and a toddler and all that goes with it. Then I think about her tiny little toes and newborn smell and toothless gums with no saliva at first, and I get really excited again. I can't even wait to breastfeed again, and see how Reagan interacts with her. I'm excited to watch ( Read more... )

I won't say don't be nervous, because I know that's much easier said than done (especially from someone who doesn't have kids, ha)! BUT I will say not to worry too much because you have lots of support around you! (Including me! I'm seriously so excited about this. You can of course tell me to leave if I start to get annoying or I'm in the way lol.)

Oh yeah, is there a particular time I should come over in the morning or should I just wait for someone to call??

thanks! Shoot, you'll probably want to leave and I won't let you, LOL.
I was just about to message you about tomorrow! I think we're tentatively thinking of maybe you coming to my place by 8 AM, and going ahead and taking Kelsi to the hospital, then bringing Reagan back and hanging out with her. That's the tentative plan, depends on how things are going. Kelsi just really really wants to be at the hospital when I give birth!

Reagan may not even wake up until 8 anyway, so whenever she wakes up you guys can give her breakfast and then head to the hospital. I'm thinking it would be best to call my mom and check with her on how I'm progressing before you plan to leave, because if nothing is really going on then Kelsi might want to wait a little longer (or she might not, who knows).
I'm messaging you my mom's number now so you have it, also :)

Thanks SO SO much!

I won't want to leave, I promise! :)
I'll just plan on getting there around 8 and we'll take it from there. Like you said, I'll make sure we get in touch with your Mom before we leave.

You don't have to thank me, I'm seriously so excited about all of this!

You're going to do great, both in labor and as a second-time mom. Good luck!
