just a thought. The PUL needs to reseal periodically so drying them on hot wont harm them. It re-melts it and makes it water proof again.

And I have a good mama medium wetbag I just found, so if you want it, just tell me. It's the sherbert fizz spots. I can mail that out anytime.

I vote KL0's

I knew it was good to dry them in the dryer periodically, but I thought doing it exclusively could wear them down after all. Maybe I'm wrong? I just read all over the place, "These were NEVER dried in the dryer!" or "100% line-dried!", so I assumed it could be bad for me to always use the dryer (I wash about every other day on average).
I've decided on the KL0's as well. I was kind of dreading all the folding and pinning (even with Snappis), and I'm afraid I'd reach for a disposable over a prefold if I got too tired of it. heh. Thanks!

OH and yesss I would love that wetbag, but please let me pay you for it (if you were considering sending it free). I've heard those are great and I've actually been eyeing them. I can afford to buy one though! I don't know how much to offer, I know they are $16 brand new, so just let me know and I will paypal you. Thanks so much!

just curious - any reason you want to have so many different brands? just for variety? i am pretty sure i am going to want 100% BumGenius....is there something i am not thinking of that maybe that isn't the best idea? :D

I started out wanting ALL bg's and switched to different types along the way. It also depends on how much your child pees and if the bg's will work as well as, say, fitteds.

The bum genius are great until they learn to undo the velcro and wont keep them on. Even under onesies.

Like creamicannoli said, once they learn to undo the velcro, it's all over. I have 3 and I never use them because Reagan goes straight for that velcro no matter what she's wearing (she can take her clothes off). There are pros and cons to each brand, so I like to mix and match. It keeps things interesting for me, too. lol. I prefer the one-size diapers, but I like to try different kinds for variety. For a newborn though, I'm going to mostly do more size-specific stuff until she fits into the one-size, and I've never CD'd a newborn before so I don't want to put all my $$ in one brand. Some people LOVE BG's for newborns, others say they were too bulky for awhile and swear by the Kissaluvs+covers, so I figure I'll go with a little bit of each!

I vote KL0's. Reese is still in hers. The rise is a bit shorter than I usually use, but they are still working great. We even invested in KL1s because we like the 0s so well.

good to know! I pretty much decided on that now, it just sounds so much simpler (and not TOO much more expensive, the way pockets would be).

I would really like to paint you something. For you, or for Chloe, your choice. Just give me some ideas of what you would want. Also, when is your baby shower, I read your posts religiously but i don't remember a mention of a baby shower. I need to by my new niece, Chloe (haha) something.

That would be great! For Chloe would be good. :) I don't mind, whatever you are inspired to paint would be just fine! I will say that so far their "color scheme" is pastel green and pink, and I'd love to have a painting of some sort with Chloe's name on it as sort of the main thing. It's not a big deal though, I know you'll come up with something cute no matter what!
We're not having a baby shower this time around. It's not usually done for a second (or third, etc) child because usually you get everything you need the first time around...especially with them this close together. We already have everything we need, including clothes and EVERYthing - anything above and beyond that is just fun stuff, really. I've been picking up some clothes for her here and there so she'll have a few things of her own (not just hand me downs), but that's about it!

We have dried our diapers 100% of the time and they are as good as new. He has been using them (FB larges, some goodmamas and SOS's with a few AIO's for at LEAST 6 mos now).

So, dry away! If we had to line dry there is no way we could cloth diaper (living on the 6th story of an apt. building).

We use prefolds as cloth wipes (bulky yes, but Boaz doesn't use them anymore so it's our cheap alternative).

I also have never found that I needed a mini wetbag. Plastic bags always worked fine when we were out and about. I will say we need 2 hanging pails, we only have one but I would like two, one for 2.0 and one for Boaz.

With Boaz we had 20 prefolds and 3 small covers. That lasted us until he was 2 mos old. Then we needed med covers (kid is huge). At 4 mos old we bought bumGenius and Fuzzibuns and never looked back. So it's pretty amazing with what you can get away with when you want to.

I was thinking that, about a wetbag. I'll probably just use a ziploc bag to hold any wet wipes (like I do already, anyway), and put any dirty wipes into a regular wetbag that I would probably bring with me (assuming we're out long enough). Worst case, plastic bags work just fine ( ... )
