I really enjoyed the sense of mystery, and Cordelia's nagging feelings of dissatisfaction with the false reality.

Also loved this moment: Lilah arches a perfectly groomed eyebrow at her. And Cordelia feels gauche in the other woman's presence.

I liked how you addressed magic (or the lack thereof) in Cordelia's new world. I liked the heat that you built up between Lilah and Cordelia. I liked it all. :)

"Even though Lilah is her lawyer, Cordelia always feel like she's the prey and Lilah the hunter." Right? I think most people feel that way. :D
Cordelia and Lilah is an interesting pairing (I've no idea if it's a thing). They both can be very self-assured and elegant, and used to nice things like champagne and expensive fabrics (so everything's glamorous), but they both also know that kind of life isn't really so great... it's almost like Lilah could represent what Cordy gave up in canon, but not quite, because Cordy's actress dream was more about being pretty and having attention and, well, Lilah's work is based on being smart and ruthless and all that. Interesting story!
