The stories that she hears about herself are surreal and unbelievable. They're spoken in hushed and reverent tones as if she's some sort of superhuman when she's nothing more than a solider (and the cause of their downfall.) Yet no one wants to listen to the truth when the myth is far more exciting. Well almost no one since Adelle DeWitt still sees her as Caroline. Echo wonders if Adelle still sees them all as who they once were or if it's just her that Adelle looks at and sees the shadows of the past. Echo's not sure which is worse: the myth of her greatness or the distorted vision of her flaws. Neither seem appealing to her.
