This is phenomenal! I adore the parts with the external/internal fight with Paul Alpha has and the utter despair of the Manhattan house. (I often wonder if the LA was the exception to the rule, or if the DC house was).

And of course, how almost natural tension between then turning to something utterly messed up and erotic.

Thank you! This one was hard to write. I kept wanting to take it one place but the story didn't want to go in that direction. It finally ended up where I wanted it to but I wasn't sure if it worked.

I can imagine the challenge in pinning down Paul and Alpha and their relationship during this time. I'd say you were totally successful.

Really? I always kind of though that at least the Manhattan house would be nice, while the rest of the houses were in varying degrees of prison/hospital esque.
